A meeting of opposites
Timekeeping relies on precision and the careful regulation of the escapement. Every detail is engineered to reduce external factors that could disrupt its performance. By contrast, roulette is the embodiment of unpredictability and chance. With the Turbine Casino Roulette, Perrelet brings together these two opposing concepts, combining the steady progression of time with the randomness of the game. A simple wrist movement sets the turbine in motion, allowing the wearer to “play” with the reading of time. The brand revisits its iconic concept in depth: the original propeller-like structure is transformed into a genuine roulette wheel. The dial, once purely animated, now becomes an engaging and interactive feature.
A redesigned structure
At the center of the turbine lies an open-worked disc crafted from sandblasted 316L stainless steel, placed over a black lower dial. To echo the authentic design of a roulette wheel, Perrelet has faithfully recreated the central pivot, a key element that stabilizes the wheel and enables it to spin.
The traditional ball is replaced by a red arrow positioned along the turbine’s edge. As it rotates, the arrow indicates a number between 0 and 36, in red or black. Bets are placed, no more bets, the tension rises.
Where earlier versions of the turbine spun rapidly to reveal the decoration beneath, this model adopts a different approach. It features a single tungsten counterweight instead of five, resulting in a slower rotation that enhances the roulette-like experience.
The accuracy of randomness
The Turbine Casino Roulette is driven by the in-house automatic caliber P-331-MH, operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and offering a 42-hour power reserve. Developed and manufactured by Soprod, a sister company of Perrelet within the Festina Group, this movement is distinguished by two respected independent certifications: COSC, attesting to its chronometric accuracy, and Chronofiable®, confirming its reliability and long-term durability.
Produced in a limited edition of 100 pieces, the watch features a 41 mm round case in grade 2 titanium with a combination of polished and satin finishes, and water resistance up to 10 ATM. Its short triple lugs support an integrated five-link titanium bracelet, ensuring both comfort and refinement, enhanced by a customized folding clasp bearing the Perrelet logo. Each watch is presented in a dedicated box, accompanied by its limited edition certificate and COSC certification.
