The brand, based in Biel, is introducing two new women’s jewelry collections this year that use the iconic Double Rotor to pay tribute to two illustrious women, Cleopatra and Eleonore

Iconic Double Rotor

Perrelet is one of those instantly recognizable brands thanks to its patented invention of the Double Rotor, dating back to 1995. In addition to the traditional oscillating weight located beneath the movement, the brand introduced a second rotor that floats above the dial. From a technical standpoint, the synchronized rotation of the two rotors provides a generous source of energy to the barrel. This not only results in more efficient winding but also ensures increased accuracy. From an aesthetic perspective, it gives the brand a unique signature with a constant kinetic animation on the dial… opening up endless possibilities for artistic decoration.

Poetic Refinement

These two new women’s collections offer fresh iterations of the brand’s signature rotor. Cleopatra is adorned with a stylized fan, finely openworked and delicately set with 30 diamonds, highlighted by triangular inlays of white mother-of-pearl. Eleonore, meanwhile, is dressed with a cascade of 33 diamonds arranged in a peacock tail pattern, radiating from the center. Both collections come in colors whose names evoke the origins of these legendary women. For Cleopatra, the shades invoke the Pearl of the Nile, Thebes Azure, Alexandria Dew, Peacock Feather, and the iconic Eternal Kohl. For Josephine, the colors recall the Imperial Pearl, Saxon Blue, Boudoir Silk, Imperial Green, and, of course, the Velvet of her King Louis VIl husband. The polished, beveled, and set rotors shimmer with iridescent reflections, all framed by a story of grandeur and beauty.

Modern Jewelry Watches

But these watches are more than just jewelry pieces. They also proudly showcase their horological modernity. Whether the bezels are polished or set with stones, the 36.5 mm cases are made from grade 2 titanium, as are the five-row satin-finished and polished bracelets. A folding clasp equips these creations for optimal comfort. With a feminine eye for detail, each model comes with a second leather strap matching the dial color. To complete the ensemble, the caliber P-181-H — designed and manufactured in-house — powers these modern women’s watches and features high-end watchmaking finishes visible through the sapphire caseback: fine perlage, Geneva stripes, and an openworked oscillating weight. With these two new collections, Perrelet succeeds in combining the beauty, mystery, and legendary charm of history’s great charismatic women with the brand’s emblematic horological excellence.
