Extra-fort Vitré @ Eberhard & Co.
Eberhard & Co. debuted the Extra-Fort chronograph in the early 1940s and now presents three new iterations.

The original Extra-Fort made its first appearance at Eberhard & Co. in 1940 and, for almost a century, has stayed true to its sport-luxe personality. As a creative platform for the brand, the Extra-Fort has inspired multiple iterations. It also began a new chapter in the manufacture's history with its 30-minute counter at 3 o'clock opposite running seconds at 9 o'clock, plus a date aperture at 6 o'clock.

Still with a stainless steel case measuring 39mm in diameter, a domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on the inside and elegant Dauphine hands, this new version features different textures in concentric rings on the dial, with a frappé pattern and vertical lines. The azuré pattern on the hour chapter is picked up on the two chronograph subdials. This is certainly a sophisticated execution, with a rich amount of detail together with interesting chromatic effects.

The hard part could be which version to choose: the silver dial with black subdials, the silver dial with silver subdials or the light blue dial with silver subdials. The mechanically inclined will appreciate the sapphire crystal caseback and, visible through it, the automatic Calibre 31952 whose oscillating weight is finished with circular graining. Two blued screws secure the "coiffe" that protects the rotor's ball-bearing and which has been personalised with the Eberhard & Co. "E" shield. From vintage style to mechanical substance, the Extra-Fort chronograph has it all!
