OMEGA ambassador, Mondo Duplantis of Sweden, competed in the Men’s Pole Vault, in which he is the current World Record holder. Despite facing strong competition on Thursday, Mondo cleared 6.25m to win the competition and again went close to breaking his own World Record.
OMEGA ambassador, Audrey Werro of Switzerland, won the Women’s 800m final in a time of 1:53.70, improving her national record by one-tenth of a second. She remains undefeated in the 2026 outdoor season.
In the Women’s 100m final, the Official Timekeeper OMEGA was called upon to separate the first and second placed athletes, who each clocked 10.70 seconds on the finish line. The technology proved to be decisive in this 100m race and showed exactly who crossed the finish line first.
OMEGA timekeeping equipment was also able to verify a new World Record in the Women's 100m Hurdles event, achieved in 12.09 seconds. The athlete was able to pose for pictures beside the OMEGA trackside scoreboard, which displayed the fastest ever time recorded in this event.
A new World Record was also achieved in the Men’s 400m Hurdles, shattering the previous record by 0.14 seconds. OMEGA timing equipment recorded the event from start to finish and clocked the final result at 45.80 seconds.
