Vacheron Constantin has set exactly the right tone with a beautifully crafted Historiques 222. This sporty-chic model with a strong personality was originally released for the Maison's 222 anniversary in 1977. Reinterpreted in 2022 as an all-yellow gold version, the 222 proved a real hit.
It now appears in steel with fabulous finishes, alternating between technical variations on polishing and vertical satin-brushing adorning the bezel, case and bracelet.
The aesthetic harmony and light effects gracing this slender, sophisticated timepiece are all the more appreciable given its exemplary legibility. The coherence of the heritage aspects is further enhanced by the hour-marker coating glowing off-white by day and lime-green by night. This is designed to evoke tritium which was formerly applied for luminescence.
The Manufacture's exceptional expertise is also illustrated by the in-house self-winding caliber stamped with the Hallmark of Geneva, visible through the sapphire caseback.
A discerning gaze will also note the discreet 270* anniversary symbol commemorating the milestone marked by these 2025 collections.
