Second set
The first limited edition of 55 pieces, the Challenge K. Khachanov, developed in collaboration with Russian tennis champion Karen Khachanov, currently ranked 16th in the ATP, was a great success and quickly sold out as early as 2025. Building on this success, the independent brand is introducing a new version, the Challenge K. Khachanov Carbon, limited to 100 pieces.
Lightness and Performance
The first chapter, or set, to remain within the tennis theme, featured an aluminum case and blue tones. This second set embraces even more advanced technology, with a case made of ultra-resistant, ultra-light carbon layers, as well as ruthenium-coated bridges to add even more character. The neo avant-garde timepiece weighs just 50 grams (1.5g less than its predecessor).
Architecture and Design
Here we find the characteristic architecture of the Jetliner collection, with refined skeletonization and curved bridges reminiscent of topspin or sliced trajectories, finished with polished black bevels.
These elements highlight both the assertive design and the quality of the watchmaking components of the hand-wound CVS610 movement, entirely produced in-house at the manufacture in Prévessin, as well as at the headquarters and assembly workshop in downtown Geneva.
Independence and Controlled Growth
In a challenging watch market, Cvstos appears to be holding steady. Stefan Kunz, the brand’s CEO since 2015, reflects on the current situation with perspective: “Our independence gives us real flexibility to quickly adjust our volumes and priorities, without external pressure. We favor controlled growth and a close relationship with our collectors, which allows us to navigate more complex periods with agility and consistency.”
Their main markets remain Japan, historically strong, as well as Mexico and the United States, where they have established their own agent. The CEO confirms: “We have been increasing the number of points of sale in the USA for the past two years and are recording very encouraging customer feedback.” He also mentions other opportunities: “More recent markets for us, such as India and certain Middle Eastern countries, represent priority development areas for the coming year.”
The Cvstos difference
While many brands are fighting to avoid losing market share, Cvstos remains confident in its vision, as highlighted by its CEO: “Our difference is based on three pillars: a strong, immediately recognizable identity, a movement architecture conceived as a full-fledged design element, and a deliberately limited verticalized production. It is this coherence between aesthetics, engineering, and exclusivity that continues to appeal to a clientele seeking difference and singularity.”
