Hublot Square Bang Tourbillon: Redefining Angles in Watchmaking

Hublot breaks new ground with the Square Bang Tourbillon 4-Day Power Reserve, expanding the Big Bang family into bold, square territory. The 42mm case, made from lightweight 3D carbon composite, extends seamlessly into a rubber strap with square motifs, creating a unified geometric aesthetic. Inside beats the MHUB6023 movement—entirely shaped around right angles, with 174 components and a skeletonized layout placing key elements like the tourbillon at six o’clock and power reserve at nine. CEO Julien Tornare emphasizes the intent: a movement as square as the case. With a four-day reserve and silicon escapement, it’s a fusion of daring design and precision engineering.

Its deep black onyx dial absorbs light, enhancing contrast and visual depth. With no logo and a subtle signature, the minimalist approach draws attention to the craftsmanship. The 41mm 904L steel case, polished and concave, houses this pure design. Co-created with watchmaker Olivier Mory, the timepiece reflects BA111OD’s commitment to elegance through simplicity—what founder Thomas Baillod calls “silent, yet powerful” watchmaking.
