Our team tested the MT1 for you. A whirlwind, a fully skeletonized movement: it challenges the norms – and we loved it!

During this test of the MT1 from Kross Studio, this watch proved to be an incredible piece that captivated me. Its Grade 5 titanium case, both light and robust, contributes to this first impression of high quality. The movement is a true masterpiece of micromechanics, offering a hypnotic spectacle: the tourbillon at 6 o'clock, a signature of Kross Studio, performs a fascinating dance accentuated by a generous power reserve of 7 days. Every gear and finish bears witness to the quality work of Kross Studio's teams. The MT1 also proved to be elegantly desirable; its 44 mm diameter is very well thought out in terms of ergonomics. Its wearing comfort is pleasant; it goes unnoticed while asserting its presence with subtlety. This is a watch that does not just tell time; it tells a story, that of an independent house pushing the limits of watchmaking.

From the moment it’s on the wrist, the Kross Studio MT1 surprises. Despite its 44mm diameter, it feels smaller and lighter than a traditional 45mm timepiece, which is a testament to its Grade 5 titanium case. What initially appears bold and oversized quickly reveals itself to be refined, ergonomic and remarkably wearable.

Visually, the MT1 is a fascinating contradiction: it is both elegant and industrial, resembling a high-design object from a sci-fi world. The tourbillon at 6 o'clock is mesmerising, performing a hypnotic dance that captivates the eye. Winding it is not just a mechanical action; it’s enjoyable and satisfying, providing a rare tactile pleasure in modern watchmaking.

In changing light, the MT1 comes alive. Shadows and reflections move across the multi-layered movement, revealing its depth and the countless hours poured into its creation. It is in these moments that you realise that this is not just a watch, it’s a masterpiece. It's a statement of intent from an independent brand that is pushing the very limits of horology.

The Kross Studio MT1 doesn't just tell the time; it tells a story. Once it’s on your wrist, it’s hard to look away.

MT1 for Marco Tedeschi, piece 1. Creating a skeleton movement entirely exposed on the dial side is an acrobatic feat in watchmaking. Every line, every component plays a decisive role in the overall aesthetics. Here, nothing escapes the eye: finishes, micro-details, endings – everything is visible, all the time. Kross delivers a contemporary, understated, and assured interpretation, presented in shades of grey. These metallic tones interact with the titanium case in a coherent and minimalist ensemble. The highlight of the show? The tourbillon, of course. But also a more discreet detail on the back: the "Raindrop" pattern engraved on the barrel bridge, a delicate evocation of the raked sand of zen gardens.

I found this watch sophisticated and charismatic. Its generous case asserts its style, but without excess. It's a "chic and shock" accessory that will make an impression on all the wrists of knowledgeable enthusiasts looking for a piece with high horological value.
