Frédérique Constant is hoping to seduce globe-trotters with the new Worldtimer function that has been added to its Horological Smartwatch.

Swiss brand Frédérique Constant unveiled its Horological Smartwatch in 2015. In a foretaste of what we can expect to see at Baselworld, it is introducing an updated version of its innovative timepiece. In addition to its activity and sleep monitoring functions, the watch now has a feature that globe-trotters will find particularly useful: a Worldtimer.

While remaining faithful to the traditional codes of Swiss watchmaking, Frédérique Constant has updated last year’s flagship model, which features a 42 mm polished rose gold plated case, navy blue dial and applied baton markers and Roman numerals. Fitted with a blue alligator strap, this new Horological Smartwatch is also water resistant to 50 metres.

Activity and sleep logging are now augmented with a Worldtimer function. Every time the watch syncs with the linked smartphone the date and time are adjusted, giving complete control over time zone changes. Once an additional time zone has been selected, three presses of the pusher will display the time in another part of the world on the watch face.

The Horological Smartwatch’s quartz MMT-285 movement has a battery life of two years. The timepiece also includes MotionX® technology, with upgradable firmware, apps and Cloud infrastructure. The new functionality can also be added to previous models of the Horological Smartwatch by simply updating the MotionX-365® app.

The new Horological Smartwatch will be available from April with a price tag of CHF 1440.
