Enchanting Red - Bovet 1822
19Thirty

Launched in 2005, Bovet’s 19Thirty evokes the refined aesthetics of a 1930s creation, the “easel” chronometer: it was one of the last pocket watches produced by the company before the widespread use of wristwatches. The contemporary collection symbolizes this historical transition, particularly when it adopts the Fleurier case with crown and bow at 12 o’clock. It is powered by a single-barrel movement with a sevenday power reserve, produced by a brand renowned for its mastery of large reserves. The new 19Thirty features finely guilloché off-center dials enhanced by a deep red color that stands out brilliantly against a blackened circular Côtes de Genève pattern. It is naturally equipped with a transparent caseback, an early 19th century invention by the Bovet brothers. Sophisticated techniques and handcrafted finishes are matched by the highest standards of quality, accentuated by the inscriptions in Old French Faictes de mains de maistres [made by masterful hands] and Pour servir ponctuels gentilshommes [to serve punctual gentlemen].
