Whoever said men don’t like flowers ? Bovet shatters this cliché by offering a new interpretation of its most affordable model, the 19Thirty. While this slim, broad and elegant watch features some unusual attributes for the brand – such as a steel case – Bovet remains true to itself by offering a first-rate blend of mechanical and aesthetic characteristics. These qualities are vividly embodied by a stunningly symmetrical movement with a seven-day power reserve. The dial of 19Thirty models is composed of two parts, each with a small diameter and screwed on to what is in fact the back of the movement. For the 2020 season, Bovet has decided to adorn these visible technical components with a motif specific to its birthplace in Fleurier, hand-engraving the non-functional spaces around the dials with the Fleurisanne patterns. The areas thus hollowed out are then lacquered in black or blue according to the version. The resulting supremely elegant effect on the wrist reflects the classic ornamental style that has contributed to Bovet’s enduring stature.
