Breguet Marine Hora Mundi
Focus on the Hora Mundi from the Marine collection
Breguet previously displayed the time in different parts of the world within the Classique collection under the name Hora Mundi: a model acclaimed for its instantaneous dual time-zone change at the touch of a pusher. Resulting from three years of R&D and protected by four patents, it is as of spring 2022 part of the brand’s latest collection, Marine. Its fascinating decoration strongly associates the notion of travel with oceans, whose hand-guilloché waves appear to lap gently against the satin-brushed shores of continents outlined a metallic turquoise border. The face is crossed by meridians appearing to float on a sapphire plate. Perched above the aperture through which the cities representing the 24 time zones appear in turn, a small sea anchor points to the one the wearer has chosen as a reference. The show continues on the back through the sapphire caseback beneath which the self-winding movement brings this little world to life.
