At Baselworld 2012, Carl F. Bucherer presents a further model from the Patravi family with a round case. The appeal of the Patravi DayDate, which indicates the current day of the week as well as the big date, lies not only in the Carl F. Bucherer-specific CFB A1001 functional module but also in the striking exterior of this model.
With the Patravi DayDate, Carl F. Bucherer has created a timepiece in which the focus is on exciting mechanical complications and visual understatement. This restrained visual appearance makes the watch a stylish companion for every occasion – whatever the day of the week.
Manufacture caliber forms the heart of the timepiece
The reliable basis of the Patravi DayDate is the CFB A1001 automatic movement, a further development of the CFB A1000 Manufacture caliber, which was used for the first time in 2009. This is based on a visionary Manufacture concept by Carl F. Bucherer, which accords central importance to the design of useful and attractive mechanisms and modules, and thus to a fascination for the mechanical.
The day at a glance
The Patravi DayDate stands for what its name promises, showing not only the big date in the upper left quadrant of the dial and the small seconds at 6 o'clock, but also the current day of the week at 9 o'clock. A trademark function that forms a meaningful addition to the essential information provided at first glance.
Stylish round case
This is a timepiece whose striking forms speak for themselves. The intriguing relief case has a diameter of 42.60 mm and a height of 12.00 mm. Water-resistant to 50 m and fitted with a screw-down crown, the watch also stands for practical functionality and stylish appearance in equal measure. The black dial and twelve silver markers continue the tasteful lines of the case and perfectly complete the watch. The sporty simplicity is cleverly rounded off by means of a stainless steel bracelet or black calfskin strap fitted with a stainless steel folding clasp. The Patravi DayDate not only proves itself as a reliable timepiece for the wearer, but is also an expression of a dynamic lifestyle with class.
