Baselworld/ New 38mm Dior VIII Grand Bal “Plume” Models in pink gold, black or white ceramic

For the evening, Dior VIII Grand Bal steps out in a richly ornate ball gown. A debutante’s gown adorned with delicate ruffles or an evening dress in embroidered silk and inserted with lace, like the ones created by Monsieur Dior in the 1950s. This poetic metaphor is expressed by the exclusive “Dior Inversé” calibres developed with Soprod manufacture, whose patented functional oscillating weight comes out of the shadows to reveal its most magnificent finery on top of the dial…

In gold openwork set with stones, it is sometimes also embellished with feathers, fragile and delicate ornamentations worthy of the dresses made in the Avenue Montaigne ateliers. In perpetual movement, the oscillating weight on the “Dior Inversé” calibre recalls the swirl of a ball gown.

A key new model, the 38mm Dior VIII Grand Bal “Plume” Model, launched in 2012, is proposed this year in ceramic and pink gold with fawn feathers but also with a case in pink gold. Therefore, ceramic is no longer the exclusivity of the Dior VIII line.
