Created in 2004, Chiffre Rouge embodies the male universe of the House of Dior and reinterprets its graphic codes: the black (bracelet, case and dial); the red (glass on the case-back , crown, date, hand or pushbuttons); the asymmetry (of its case, which concentrates its controls on the widened right hand side: the guilloché tooled winder and pushbuttons for the chronograph versions) or even the cuts (scored into the surface of the bracelet), in reference to Dior Homme’s identity and know-how.
Chiffre Rouge is also a 100 % automatic collection with outstanding watchmaking features such as the moulded rubber version of the COSC certified A05 chronograph or its calibres: “Irréductible”, an exceptional automatic chronograph movement developed by Zenith manufacture, the “Dior 8 fuseaux horaires”, indicating 8 different time zones, developed with Orny & Girardin and the “Dior Inversé 11 ½” developed with Soprod manufacture.
New Chiffre Rouge models in 2013
After the Chiffre Rouge A05 chronograph moulded in black rubber launched in 2012, this year, the A02 chronograph and A03 timepiece also reinforce their watchmaking quality by incorporating the bracelet onto the revised case; providing increased stability of the bracelet; a double face antireflection glass; a screwed-in crown; improved readability of the dials and a COSC certificate for the A02 model. They come out in April in limited editions of 100 pieces on a black calfskin strap (A02) or grey (A03) and in September on a steel bracelet (A02) and steel bracelet or alligator strap (A03).
A fan of limited editions, Chiffre Rouge renews its partnership with Zenith in September with a limited edition of 100 pieces housing its Elite 691 calibre equipped with a moon phase.
