I am lucky enough to be able to rely on a fantastic team and this is all the more precious when time is at a premium after a Watches & Wonders show with its various satellite events and when a summer issue has to be completed in parallel with a GMT XXL Switzerland, a GMT XXL World and a Geneva Watch Tour supplement – all within a few weeks. But when you love something you spare no effort, and here at GMT Publishing, we don’t just like, we truly love and are keen to show it! That is exactly what happens every day on our shared application to our WorldTempus website; every week through our Fine Watch Club; and every year in our Millennium Watch Book collection. The latter’s 2022 edition focuses on diving watches and we are producing it in addition to everything else in order to maintain a variety of pleasures (ours as well as those of our readers). Coming back to this summer edition, which contains some exciting and important articles, we have notably spoken with the leaders of brands as diverse as Audemars Piguet, Breitling, Cartier, Jaquet Droz and Roger Dubuis. We are also naturally reviewing the new launches of the spring shows in Geneva, starting with the brand-new Square Bang line from Hublot, which could almost be described as disruptive if it had emerged from another brand. That is indeed precisely the question we are trying to answer in our main feature: is watchmaking disruptive?
