The beauty of flowers has long inspired artists. Their seductive beauty has also captivated the fine watchmaking industry, which has often immortalized floral designs on watch dials using figurative techniques. On its part, Harry Winston's Sublime Timepiece represents a tangible expression of a flower’s beauty, through a brilliant bouquet of the world’s finest diamonds.
Subime Timepiece belongs to the High Jewelry collection. Its small (20.2 x 36.5 mm) white gold case recalls the sophisticated shape of an emerald-cut diamond that has been adorned with two floral clusters. True to the House’s signature style, each floral cluster is comprised of different cut diamonds: a baguette-cut diamond for the stem, pear-shaped pavé leaves, and a marquise-cut diamond that calls to mind a delicate bud getting ready to bloom.
Bringing a sense of fluidity and grace to all aspects of the design, each component has been intricately assembled by master craftsman, allowing the watch to delicately embrace the wrist. More than 200 individual diamonds are featured in the design. On the gray mother-of-pearl dial run the hour and minute hands, powered by a quartz movement.
The watch is elegantly fitted on a black satin strap equipped with a white gold ardillon buckle set with 29 brilliant-cut diamonds.
