The simplicity of complications.

Da Vinci watches hold a special place in the recent history of IWC. Its complication models had notably enabled the Schaffhausen-based brand to make the most of the huge watch boom in the late 1990s. The Da Vinci collection was notably able to build on a brand-new perpetual calendar, developed by IWC, which featured two unique characteristics: a four-digit display of the year, as well as pre-synchronized operation. A single press on a corrector moves forward the entire set of indications linked to the date. This perpetual calendar has been constantly improved and therefore logically takes its place in the new generation of Da Vinci timepieces, complete with the rearrangements required by its cohabitation here with a flyback chronograph.

The simplicity of complications

An elegant watch featuring a number of meticulously refined details, the Da Vinci is distinguished by its articulated lugs ensuring a smooth fit on the wrist. It is fitted with a large crown, along with notched pushers in the case of this perpetual calendar chronograph. With this stainless steel model powered by an entirely in-house-made movement, IWC is wagering on its four key assets. Relatively affordable, singularly complicated and rooted in a prestigious past, it also epitomizes authentic elegance with its multi-textured slate grey dial.
