Jacob & Co.’s latest unique timepiece elevates the timeless memento mori motif through precious metals and exceptional workmanship
The Astronomia Skulls depicts a crypt with skulls and bones amassed in a way that makes it appear that they have been there for centuries. The most prominent three-dimensional skulls are in highly polished 18k rose gold contrasted with deep ruby eyes. Smaller skulls peek out from below with empty eyes. More skulls appear on the minute-and-hour subdial serving as markers for 12, 3, 6, and 9 o’clock with crossbones in between.
