Kerbedanz unveils Squama, a stunning timepiece featuring a deep black DLC case and a textured dial with a snake skin patterns.

In November 2016, at the Salon des Grandes Complications in Dubai, Kerbedanz revealed for the first time all-black DLC coating watches. This year at Baselworld, the brand presents a new all-black timepiece inspired by the snake: the Squama Tourbillon.

The dial backdrop of the Squama has a smooth look much like the skin of a serpent. In religion, mythology and literature, the snake represents fertility and creative power. As mythical creatures, they sometimes appear part human, part dragon, and they inhabit many fantastical and mystical tales.

The Squama radiates a air of lightness transcended by a few supporting lines necessary for the proper chronometric performance of the KRB-02 caliber with visible gearwheels that appear to be floating in space. This manually-wound mechanical movement, conceived, manufactured, skeletonized and decorated by Kerbedanz and Concepto beats at 21,600 vibrations per hour and offers a 72-hour power reserve.

Llimited to just 41 pieces, the Squama is mounted on an alligator leather strap attached with a double folding clasp in 18-karat, DLC-treated gold and personalized by Kerbedanz.
