On the occasion of the Alpine World Ski Championships 2017, Longines launches two limited-edition watches, one for women and one for men.

As Official Partner of the International Ski Federation (FIS), Longines has for many years made its expertise in sports timekeeping available to the great White Circus during the FIS World Cup and the Alpine World Ski Championships. To celebrate the Alpine World Ski Championships 2017 in St. Moritz, the brand unveils a limited-edition model for men and women. Drawn from the Conquest Classic collection, a line known for its classic aesthetic, these models are specially designed for those with a passion for alpine skiing who wish to wear a timelessly elegant watch, while experiencing the excitement of World Championship races.

In the 42 mm diameter steel case, the model for men houses an L678 automatic winding mechanical calibre. The blue dial is set with 9 applied indices coated with Super-LumiNova® and makes an elegantly contrasting background to the moonphase display. It features a 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock, the 24-hour indicator and the subdial for the seconds at 9 o’clock, as well as the 30-minute counter and the day-and-month display at 12 o’clock.  The date is indicated by a half-moon central hand.

As for the women’s model, it houses an L888 calibre in its 34 mm steel case. Hours, minutes and seconds stand out against the blue dial thanks to rhodium-plated hands coated in Super-LumiNova®. The FIS Alpine World Ski Championships logo is applied onto the transparent case back of both pieces, while a steel bracelet completes the whole.
