Water World - Mauron Musy

Taking the Mauron Musy Armure timepieces out for a live test on the lake.

Summer may almost be over in Switzerland, and the few days of beautiful weather we have left to us are best spent out on the lake, with good company — and good watches!

Recently, we had the opportunity to take the Armure timepieces of Mauron Musy out for a spin. These robust sports watches, with their patented nO-Ring technology, are water resistant up to 30ATM (300m). This is accomplished without the use of conventional gaskets, which degrade over time. By eliminating this component, Mauron Musy watches require less servicing in this area and can be considered more sophisticated in their manufacturing process.

The clear waters of Lac Léman are where we chose to test the active side of the Mauron Musy Armure watches. With the help of Quentin Mayerat, deputy editor in chief of our sister publication Skippers, we took a selection of Armure timepieces out on a (highly photogenic) classic sailboat, where the multi-talented Joy Corthésy, editor in chief of our special issue, Lady by GMT, caught the action on her digital SLR.

It’s not every day that we get to try out a whole series of sports watches in real-world conditions, so you can probably guess that we made full use of this opportunity provided by Mauron Musy. Our combined verdict of the Armure timepieces: Comfortable, ready for anything, with a splash of fun!
