Many of the luxury Swiss watch brands decamped to Paris last week for the prestigious Biennale des Antiquaires, which has developed into a major event for watch and jewellery brands. Our contributor David Chokron provides a detailed two-part wrap-up the event this week.

The number 10 became a recurrent theme in the coverage on Worldtempus last week: the top 10 Swiss watch brands, the 10th anniversary of Dior’s Chiffre Rouge and an interview with Guillaume Tetu, CEO of Hautlence, which celebrated its tenth anniversary at the start of this month.

This week, Olivier Müller reports from two extremes, with a watch test during his kayak holiday in Greenland and a report from the more serene environment of the Concours d’élégance in Chantilly. Also back from holiday, Marie de Pimodan Bugnon picked up our Summer Watches series with some floral inspirations. This week, she turns her attention to insect-inspired designs.

The main focus of our coverage this week, however, is on the Biennale des Antiquaires. Our Paris-based correspondent David Chokron has sifted through the horological gems presented at the Grand Palais and presents his findings in a two-part report published this week on Worldtempus. A must for fans of fine jewellery watches.
