Omega presents its new Seamaster Diver 300M America’s Cup in honour of the famous sailing race

Omega first joined the America’s Cup in 1995 with Team New Zealand and held the position of Official Timekeeper in 2000 and 2003. This year, the brand is taking on this prestigious timekeeping role once again for the 36th edition of the race.

Seamaster Diver 300M America's Cup

To celebrate this event, Omega is launching the Seamaster Diver 300M America’s Cup Edition. Perfectly adapted for the water and the world of regattas, this automatic chronograph is water-resistant to 300 metres and has practical rubber pushers for ease of use in the water. With a blue dial, bezel and strap, this watch is in perfect harmony with the colour of the ocean. The ceramic dial has been decorated with a wave engraving and comes with hour and minute hands in the centre and a small seconds subdial at 9 o’clock that features a hand shaped like the hull of a boat. A red countdown timer at 3 o’clock indicates the number of hours remaining before the start of the race, and a red central seconds hand (for the chronograph) is adorned with a counterweight in the shape of the America’s Cup symbol.

Housed in a 44mm steel case, the timepiece is powered by the Omega Master Co-Axial Calibre 9900, with a power reserve of 60 hours, and is certified by the brand’s Master Chronomaster label (a certification that focuses on chronometric performance, water resistance, power reserve and resistance to magnetic fields). The new Seamaster is a top-of-the-range anti-magnetic watch, operating without a hitch in magnetic fields measuring up to 15,000 gauss. As for the chronograph, its functions can be locked by means of a “Chrono Lock” system, which is extremely practical in the water when you want to record your performance on a boat at high speed.

Commemorating its link to the America’s Cup, Omega has engraved the name and date of the regatta on the edge of the sapphire crystal caseback. The timepiece sports the colours of the famous Cup and is available for CHF 10,250.
