It has been a hectic seven days with the LVMH Watch Week, a management buy-out at Girard-Perregaux and Ulysse Nardin, a new look for HYT, and a new retail experience for Panerai. 

So, without further ado, here is your 60 seconds of weekly watch news…I think we may go overtime this week!

LVMH Watch Week – Bulgari

We kicked off LVMH Watch Week with Bulgari and a new micro-movement that measures 12.30mm by 2.50mm, weighs just 1.3 grams, and comprises 102 miniature components. This tiny mechanical movement was created to power the brand’s new Serpenti secret watches that have also been redesigned for this movement. Discover this and other Bulgari novelties here

Time is a Jewel: Bulgari dazzles us with novelties galore

Hublot’s 2022 Offering

Over at Hublot, there were numerous releases including three Big Bang Integrale Time Only pieces in 40mm and several new launches in yellow gold. We also discovered a new Big Bang Unico Golf Orange Carbon that will track your progress on the green, and lots of colourful Big Bang One Clicks with 12 new interchangeable bracelets. LVMH Watch Week – TAG Heuer 

TAG Heuer pays tribute to the Autavia this year with a legendary collection created in 1962, with three new models. The Calibre Heuer 02 COSC Flyback manufacture movement brings the flyback function to the Autavia collection for the first time with two new chronograph models, while the Calibre 7 COSC GMT movement drives a brand-new three-hand GMT model – another first for the Autavia collection.

ShowCase Action with Zenith 

WorldTempus’s Suzanne Wong caught up with Zenith’s Development and Heritage Director Romain Marietta, for a personal presentation of the brand’s novelties. Discover a modern reinterpretation of the earliest Defy model, along with a brand-new collection called the Defy Skyline with an El Primero movement, integrated stainless steel bracelet, and a unique pattern on the dial.  

WorldTempus Team Test

This week’s WorldTempus Team Test saw us testing the new Louis Vuitton Tambour Horizon Light Up. Our team thoroughly enjoyed playing with all the travel functions and dial possibilities. Patrick Pruniaux Acquired Girard-Perregaux and Ulysse Nardin

On the first day of LVMH Watch Week, Kering Group announced that it had signed an agreement to sell Sowind Group SA, which comprises the watchmaking brands Girard-Perregaux and Ulysse Nardin, to its current management, led by Patrick Pruniaux. This long-rumoured management buy-out finally went down!
