So, following their Rebel spirits, the watchmakers at Rebellion Timepieces are putting their technological expertise and mastery of materials towards bold, resolutely modern designs. As if optimising the performance of a sports car, their quest for success has led them to use increasingly technical materials: carbon, followed by sapphire. After the Magnum 540 Sapphire and the Weap-one Diamond Asymmetrical Tourbillon with its synthetic sapphire tube, Rebellion Timepieces is breaking new ground by using the ultra-light material for one of its most iconic models: the RE-Volt. The result? The RE-Volt Sapphire watch blasts open the rules of watchmaking with a resolutely modern, fresh personality, and the touch of irreverence running through all the brand’s timepieces.
For the first time, with three new translucent cases made of synthetic sapphire, the RE-Volt uses transparency as its means of seduction. Attention to detail by the watchmakers extends to manufacturing the crown, also in sapphire. The colours chosen for these unique pieces are undeniably reminiscent of those seen in the world of car racing. The translucent skeletonized cases and bridges, tinted all over with contour lines like the body of a supercar, are available in electric blue and passionate red. The third colourway, all white, is sure to attract attention, the purity of the colour showcasing the mechanical character of the watch.
Whatever the colour choice, the case combines a muscular silhouette with a high-tech feel, always in service of the mechanism’s performance. On the openwork dial, the hands and indices are covered with SuperLuminova®, giving excellent readability in all light conditions. At the heart of the case, as light as it is robust and waterproof to 3 ATM, the hand-wound movement made in-house precisely arranges the time. The calibre is made up of 165 elements and gives the RE-Volt Sapphire watch a power reserve of 48 hours.
The RE-Volt Sapphire watch comes with a large vulcanised rubber strap, its colour perfectly coordinated with the case. It fastens with a double deployant clasp, for a wear that is comfortable and secure in equal measure.
