Focus on the Tag Heuer Carrera Date 29mm

The year 2021 was a great year for reinventions and expanding collections at TAG Heuer. Of particular note for women, the brand created a new generation of its most iconic and beloved Carrera. The sporty chic appeal of recent Carrera watches has made this series a hit, but the newest, pared-down models have something ultra-feminine about them. While there are 13 new models in the refined TAG Heuer Carrera series, it is the 29mm three-hands date watch that radiates a truly sleek appeal. The Carrera has its roots in the auto-inspired world of yesteryear. Born in 1963 as the ultimate easy-to-read watch for race car drivers, the line was originally invented by Jack Heuer, who became enamored with racing and wanted a highly legible chronograph for drivers who needed to see time at a glance. The watch is named after the famed and very dangerous Carrera PanAmericana races. Since that introduction, Carrera watches have evolved decade after decade. The new Carrera three-hand Date 29mm watch is devoid of the chronograph function. Instead, it focuses on that legibility aspect and offers hours, minutes, seconds, as well as a date display at 6 o’clock. The chic look of the modern timepiece, available in stainless steel with a new H-shaped steel bracelet, aligns perfectly with today’s contemporary woman. The watches are powered by the Swiss-made automatic Caliber 9 with fast date correction.
