Independent watchmaker Ulysse Nardin continues to explore new aesthetic territories by combining metals and colors. After associating titanium with white ceramic and rose gold with black ceramic in 2020, the new Blast Tourbillon Blue & Gold continues to mine this rich seam. First presented three years ago, the Blast Tourbillon is now available in rose gold and blue PVD-treated titanium, the brand’s signature color. A two-tone combination that unfolds from case to folding clasp, blowing hot and cold across this powerful-looking timepiece. To accentuate its contemporary character, Ulysse Nardin relies on the skeletonized construction of its caliber with a platinum micro-rotor at 12 o’clock, which does not obstruct the diffusion of light. As for its flying tourbillon, it is nestled in an X-shaped carriage, a reference to the collection’s EXplorer DNA
