Watches and Wonders 2023

Now, let’s look at what is in store for you during this horological extravaganza, whether you are a ticket holder, a Geneva local, a horological tourist, or a digital participant joining from out of town. There really is something for everyone. Let’s start with the salon itself and what you can discover there. There will be 48 brands and manufacturers exhibiting their new timepieces in individual spaces, many of which have been created with as much imagination as the watches themselves.

In addition to discovering timepieces, there will be an extensive programme of talks and discussions relating to hot horological topics such as NFTs, blockchain, the circular economy and more with six different round table sessions going on each day. The salon’s LAB area is also worth the detour as it presents all the latest innovations and new technologies that are shaping the future of watchmaking.

And for those more interested in the artistic side of watches, look out for a unique photography exhibition by Swiss press photographer Karine Bauzin entitled “What Time is It?”. Bauzin has been asking people “What’s the Time?” for over 10 years in over 20 different countries, photographing and documenting them as she goes. The results are a beautiful reflection of our relationship to our timepieces and time itself.

In the City

If you weren’t quick enough on the buzzer to obtain tickets to the show itself, don’t worry, there is a whole programme of activities going on in the heart of Geneva along the famous Rue de Rhône and Rue Basses. Numerous watchmaking maisons are going to be organizing events, activities, activations, and more during the week. There will even be a sort of rally/treasure hunt (more on this later) that will guide you around the city with QR codes for even more watchmaking fun!
