To commemorate our 15th anniversary, Zenith is producing a customised version of its bold and sophisticated bronze-cased pilot’s watch: the Pilot Type 20 Extra Special. This is the only model of its kind to feature a number 15 in place of the usual 12 on the black dial.
Drawing inspiration from the cockpit instruments produced by Zenith in the early days of aviation, the Pilot collection is the worthy heir of the iconic models that accompanied the legendary aviators on their pioneering adventures. With its oversized luminescent Arabic numerals to guarantee optimum readability and large fluted screw-down crown that can be adjusted even wearing gloves, the Pilot Type 20 Extra Special ticks all the boxes for a pilot’s watch. Inside its imposing bronze 45 mm case beats the automatic Zenith Elite 679 calibre. The titanium caseback engraved with an illustration of Louis Blériot’s plane and Zenith’s flight instrument logo reminds us of the watch’s illustrious heritage. A rubber-lined nubuck strap with titanium pin buckle provides the finishing touch to this vintage-inspired timepiece.
