EXCALIBUR Flying Tourbillon
Housed at the heart of a 42mm diameter Excalibur case, sculpted in rose gold, the Flying Tourbillon completes the line of grand complications in this watch collection. The principle of the tourbillon consists in placing the organism regulating the watch (the combination of balance/balance-spring/escapement) in a “cage” turning on its own axis, usually once per minute. This produces a “tumbling” of the vertical positions, resulting in a very regular average running rate, and so extreme precision. Having come to represent a feature of the Manufacture, this tourbillon just like all the other movements that bear the ROGER DUBUIS signature, is stamped with the Poinçon de Genève quality hallmark. With sliver sunray, black or chocolate dial, large Roman numerals and double dial surround, the case is completed with a hand-stitched, crocodile leather strap.
Independence and excellence are the cornerstones of Roger Dubuis, a Manufacture guided by its belief in living larger than life. Remarkably dynamic, Roger Dubuis has developed more than 23 totally original in-house calibres for an exceptional craftmanship mastery. In a subtle alliance of traditional watchmaking expertise and avant-garde technology, the Manufacture Roger Dubuis excels in its mastery of architectural skeletonised movements.
