A unique A. Lange & Söhne timepiece beckons for the winner of this weekend’s Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este.

This year is the fourth time that the German watch brand A. Lange & Söhne will be sponsoring the prestigious Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, which will be held on the shores of Lake Como from 22nd to 24th May this year.

Just like last year, the winner of best in class will receive a special Como Edition of the Lange 1 Zeitzone straight from the hands of the brand’s CEO Wilhelm Schmid. This special timepiece, which will be presented on 24th May at the awards ceremony, has a caseback engraved with the emblem of the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, which celebrates its 86th edition this year and its time zone function fits in perfectly with the chosen theme for this years concours “The Jet Set is Back”.

A. Lange & Söhne Lange 1 Zeitzone

The Lange 1 Zeitzone has already featured in a photoshoot with some of the world’s most exclusive cars, as it appeared on Frank Stella’s 1976 BMW 3.0 CSL earlier this month. The BMW is part of the BMW Art Car Collection, which comprises 17 unusual racing and production cars that have been customized by internationally renowned artists.

A special exhibition celebrating 40 years of the BMW Art Cars will display five of the automotive works of art at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este this weekend.
