The annual WorldTempus Big Summer Competition is back, and if you’ve been having the kind of year that I’ve been having, you’re ready for a good, long break. For the second consecutive year, we’re offering as our Big Summer Competition grand prize a vacation at a tropical beach resort in Mauritius. Le Trou aux Biches is a five-star luxury getaway on the northwestern coast of Mauritius, steps away from a pellucid turquoise lagoon, fronted by a shimmering white beach, perfectly positioned some of the most spectacular sunset views anywhere in the world. We’re offering you, our readers, a six-night stay for two at this little slice of Eden, and I am gradually brimming over with regret as I write this, because I so badly want to go myself. The WorldTempus Big Summer Competition starts from now (well, yesterday, technically) until 21 September, with new questions every Sunday, Wednesday and Friday for you to increase your chances of winning something from one of our lovely supporting partners. Apart from the grand prize — I’m still sore about the Mauritius vacation being out of reach, and what I’m about to tell you isn’t going to make me feel any better — we also have items such as a gorgeous bracelet by watchmaker-jeweller to the stars Jacob & Co., a watch winder by Swiss KubiK, a sturdy travel bag from Maurice Lacroix, and a leather journal from Montblanc.
You know the drill. Every week throughout the summer, we’ll be asking two questions, one on Wednesday and one on Friday. Each question corresponds to a prize offered by one of our partners, and the winner will be drawn from all the entrants who submit the right answer.
