Newsletter Happy New Year (again)!

Watchmakers show us the love and art in celebration of two big occasions this week.

We start the week with a traditional “Kung Hei Fat Choi” to our thousands of regular readers from Chinese-speaking territories and we usher in the Year of the Monkey with a selection of watches launched specifically for the occasion, presented to you today on our homepage by Camille Gendre.

After Pierre Jacques left De Bethune at the end of last year, the watchmaking microcosm wondered what new horizons he might set his sights on. The answer comes today as contemporary high-end brand MCT announces his appointment as CEO with effect from 15th February. Read an exclusive interview with him on WorldTempus this week.

« Ce mois-ci, gagnez une montre Eterna pour dames »

The theme on the site tomorrow will be “World Time” as David Chokron provides an overview of the world time models presented at this year’s SIHH and we bring news of Seiko’s latest radio synchronised world time chronograph model.

Later on this week, Rafael Fernandez gives us an overview of the many different elements that make up the Bulgari watchmaking empire. He was lucky enough to enjoy a comprehensive factory visit before flying back to Venezuela after the SIHH.

We conclude the week with a look at the watches on offer this year for Valentine’s Day by Isabelle Guignet. Maybe some of our luckier readers will be wearing one of these horological delights when they open next week’s newsletter?
