For the third consecutive year, Baume & Mercier presented its new models at the Watches & Wonders exhibition, where the Maison celebrated its 185th anniversary .

On the occasion of Watches & Wonders, Baume & Mercier thus celebrated its 185th anniversary at the heart of a dedicated area where the public was able to discover the new models within an elegant atmosphere imbued with respect for traditions. Vividly showcasing the watchmaking expertise cultivated by Baume & Mercier, an “historical wall” presenting a selection of major models from the company Museum was set up, revealing among other treasures one of the very first pocket watches dating back to 1850, a platinum and diamond 1940’s Marquise watch, as well as a hand-wound yellow gold from 1960 that inspired the design of the Clifton watch. Baume & Mercier also unveiled new models which, by drawing upon the best of 185 years of watchmaking excellence, mark the start of a new cycle for the Maison.

This major event was also the opportunity to commemorate 185 years of horological heritage and expertise by presenting two exceptional models: the Clifton 1830 five-minute repeater pocket watch in 18K red gold, and the Promesse Jade ladies’ watch.

Charlene Choi, a famous singer and actress of Hong Kong, appeared at Baume & Mercier 185 Anniversary Celebration Event. On the occasion, a Classima 36.5mm automatic watch graceful wrapped round the wrist of Charlene Choi. Its scintillating 78-diamond bezel, iridescent mother-of-peal dial and delicate hands are elevated by the brown alligator strap. The day also saw Baume & Mercier presenting an elegant Classima 36.5mm moon-phase watch to Charlene as a delightful surprise. The moon-phase displays at the centre of the dial spells unparalleled sophistication in every minute detail. The case back of the timepiece comes with the heartfelt engraving: “Stand By You” from her manager.
