European Equestrian Federation

Longines and the European Equestrian Federation (EEF) announce the renewal of their partnership.

With this new agreement, Longines and the European Equestrian Federation will continue to pursue the objectives of developing equestrian sport while promoting the values of fair and safe sport with a strong emphasis on both athlete and horse welfare. Since 2015, the Swiss watchmaker has been the Official Partner and Official Watch of the EEF, as well as the Title Partner of the Longines EEF Rankings and the Longines Brotherhood Programme.

Longines’ involvement in equestrian world dates back to 1869, when it produced a pocket watch engraved with a proud horse head. In 1912, the Swiss watch brand first partnered with an international showjumping competition in Portugal. Today Longines’ involvement in equestrian sports includes show-jumping, flat racing, dressage, driving and eventing competitions.

The EEF is a progressive and independent body whose mission is to maximise the potential and development of equestrianism throughout the continent of Europe. The EEF Brotherhood Programme, launched in Essen (GER) in 2013, aims at facilitating specific knowledge transfer; it sees  a developed National Federation (NF) providing technical, theoretical and/or administrative assistance to another NF in the region. A donor NF can also be a receiver under the terms of the programme.
