He won the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Doha, followed by Daniel Deusser and Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum, and he was also crowned winner of the Longines Global Champions Tour 2016. The Swedish rider scored 283 points, while Edwina Tops-Alexander arrived second and Christian Ahlmann third with 267 and 239 points, respectively.
