The 170th edition of the Prix de Diane Longines will be held on Sunday 16 June at the Chantilly racecourse. With a couple of days to go before this elegant equestrian event is held at the horse capital, Longines and its Partner France Galop have unveiled the highlights of the 2019 edition during a press breakfast at the Cercle d’Aumale in Paris, which pays homage to Henri d’Orléans, Duke of Aumale, to whom we owe the Domain of Chantilly. The prestigious Prix de Diane Longines – a thrilling day of events with no less than eight thoroughbred races – is the world’s most important race for fillies. For the occasion, the Chantilly racecourse will delight the tens of thousands of spectators with decor inspired by jockey silks: graphic adornments and lovely colours creating a lively and playful atmosphere.

The traditional equestrian event Prix de Diane Longines is also a chance to attend two races the brand lends its name to: the Prix Longines Future Racing Stars and the Prix de la Reine Marie-Amélie Longines, in which young jockeys from all over the world and FEGENTRI (International Federation of Gentlemen and Lady Riders) riders compete. Longines is pleased to time the races, showcase up-and-coming talent and racing amateurs, as well as award the winners with elegant timepieces.

This year, Longines welcomes its Ambassador of Elegance, the Australian actor and racing enthusiast Simon Baker, who is sure to add an elegant touch to the event. Simon Baker will present at the event’s main race. At the end of the Prix de Diane Longines and accompanied by representatives of the brand, he will present elegant Longines watches to the winning filly’s team.

The “Mademoiselle Diane par Longines” award will be held, like every year, at the Village de Diane, where the 10 most elegant female spectators from the event will showcase their most beautiful outfits for a chance to win the renowned award. Simon Baker will present the winner with the event’s Official Watch, a steel and rose gold model from the Record collection featuring a mother-of-pearl dial adorned with diamond indexes. This piece, alongside other Longines collections, will be showcased at the Longines boutique at the Village de Diane.
