The swiss watchmaker has a long history with motorsports, and especially endurance racing. The watchmaker has its own racing team, Rebellion Racing, the leading private LMP1 team to challenge the works entries from Porsche, Toyota and Audi in the FIA World Endurance Championship. Rebellion shares its performance et passion values with the European Le Mans Series, values that will be relevant to achieve its mission of timing the six races of the 2017 season and determine who will be the ELMS champions. The drivers who win the championship will each receive a Rebellion branded watch.
One of the Rebellion Racing cars will be on display in the ELMS village at each round to be admired by the fans and visitors.
The first round of the 2017 European Le Mans Series will be held at Silverstone, the home of British motorsport, on Saturday 15 April.
