The Abu Dhabi Tour, a renowned professional cycle race, has quickly risen to the World Tour status, the highest level of the international circuit. The third edition will be held from 23rd to 26th February over four stages: two sprints, one mountain stage, and the final sprint, which will be contested entirely on the Yas Marina circuit.
Sixteen World Tour teams and four Professional Continental teams will be taking part in the Abu Dhabi Tour. The best cyclists on the planet will tackle a route which totals 670 km, and takes in desert, mountains and some of this city’s most iconic sites.
On the west coast of the United States, Tag Heuer partners from now on with the 2017 edition of the Amgen Tour of California, the country’s most popular and prestigious annual cycling event. Beginning on May 11th in Sacramento, the world’s best professional cyclists will compete over a challenging 700 plus mile course, before finishing May 20 in Pasadena near Los Angeles. In 2017, for the first time since it was founded in 2006, the Amgen Tour of California will be featured in the official UCI World Tour calendar.
The watch brand will also take on the designation of Official Watch partner and presenting sponsor of the Best Young Rider jersey awarded daily to the rider under the age of 23 with the least amount of elapsed time over the entire race to that point. This prestigious jersey, bearing TAG Heuer colours is being designed by Alec Monopoly, the brand's new Artist Provocateur.
