Parmigiani Fleurier welcomes the highly commended career woman and one of Hong Kong’s best-loved socialites as a new member to the family.

Parmigiani Fleurier’s creations have been endeared by elite from all over the world, including Friends of the Brand Singapore based cybersecurity giant Ilya Sachkov and American professional golf athlete Jessica Korda. The brand now welcomes woman elite Amanda Lui as a new member to the family.

Born into a reputable family, Amanda Lui has nevertheless earned her own fame and respect with her own abilities and hard work. After graduating from university, she joined the family business Kowloon Motor Bus Company, and gradually progressed to a pivotal role in the public relations and corporate marketing department of the company. Sharing the same philosophy of always asking for more with Parmigiani Fleurier, Amanda Lui decided to show her colours in public relations and marketing sectors with the knowledge and traditional wisdom that she has inherited from her family. Taking advantage of the vast network of KMB, the innovative visionary stunned the market by establishing the pioneering multimedia platform Roadshow. As the Chief Operating Officer of Roadshow Holdings Limited, Amanda spearheaded the IPO listing of the company, which was worth over HK$0.8 billion at its market high. Later, having a prospect for the rapid development of the Mainland China, Amanda Lui took on the challenge to open her own events agency in Shanghai, serving luxury brands in the emerging market with her finesse in public relations and marketing. A few years later, Amanda Lui returned to Hong Kong and joined the PR firm PRIME as Partner and General Manager.

Rooting on traditions, Amanda Lui has never ceased to strive for improvements, capture the moment, foster innovation and live life with a purpose – attributes that are also dear to Parmigiani Fleurier. Her passion and achievements have been well acclaimed by numerous awards including the first ever Marketer of the Year of Hong Kong by the Chartered Institute of Marketing, the HKMA/TVB Awards for Marketing Excellence, and accolades from The International Public Relations Association and The Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce for her creative direction in leading corporate brands. An accomplished public relations, media and marketing elite with a career spanning over two decades, Amanda Lui still burns the flame in her heart and works diligently, making the most of the time and her gifts. A successful woman takes control of her life, by first taking control of her time. Delivering appealing feminine charisma in an executive suit, Amanda Lui reveals power in a sweet and poetic language. On her wrist is the brand new Tonda Métropolitaine Sélène in rose gold featuring a dial made of highly reflective white mother of pearl, accentuated by a lotus flower in solid rose gold, echoing the indices and the case. The bezel is adorned with 76 brilliant-cut diamonds totalling approximately 0.52 carat. The PF318 movement and its moon phase module is the 33rd movement created within the Parmigiani Fleurier Manufacture. This watch offers a genuine embodiment of the moon on the wrist, divulging the gentleness residing within the staunch soul.

Dressed in a black gown, Amanda Lui exudes elegance and grace with Kalparisma Agenda Galaxy on her wrist. The 18-carat rose gold case echoes the hand-applied, solid rose gold indices on the dial. The side borders of the dial on the Kalpa are adorned with two rows of diamonds, which extend to the lugs, totalling 0.84 carats. Paired with deltashaped skeletonised hands, the dial features an aventurine glass, scattered with copper inclusions, resembling the sparkling constellations in the sky. Limited to 50 pieces, the watch is driven by calibre PF331, the first self-winding mechanical movement by Parmigiani Fleurier. Part of the Kalparisma family since 2008, it makes this model the brand’s first mechanical watch for women.

The brand

One of the more recent success stories of the Swiss watchmaking industry, Parmigiani Fleurier emerged from the close relationship between watchmaker Michel Parmigiani and the Sandoz Family Foundation.
