To celebrate the alliance between watches and racing, Rebellion created a special version « Le Mans 24 Hours », limited to 24 pieces, on a RE-2 FlyBack Chrono basis.
The pilots wore the watches while driving the « Le Mans 24 Hours » race which took place on June 13 and 14, 2009. The worn watches will be sold together with the gloves signed by the pilot himself.
The Lola-Judd LMP2 number 33 was driven by Xavier Pompidou, Jonny Kane and Benjamin Leuenberger.
The Lola-Aston Martin LMP1 number 13 was driven by Andrea Belichi, Nicolas Prost and Neel Jani.
The Swiss team Speedy Racing Team Sebah carried out a superb result by finishing second of LMP2 class for her only second participation in the Le Mans 24 Hours race, with the Lola-Judd number 33, supported by Rebellion. The pilots drove faultless to obtain this result in a race made difficutl by the heat and the many interventions of the safety car.
The other car of the private team Speedy Racing Team Sebah, the Lola-Aston-Martin number 13 also finished the race after being delayed at two hours of the arrival by a gear box failure. The Lola was on her way for a very good result, fighting for the 6th place of general clasification after 21 hours of race, but it is finally with the fourteenth row that the number 13, supported by Rebellion, finished the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
With one second place in LMP2 and the two cars getting the checkered flag on two cars starting the race, the Speedy Racing Team Sebah carries out a very beautiful overall performance in 2009 Le Mans 24 Hours.
