Marine Tourbillon Only Watch - Ulysse Nardin
Ulysse Nardin gave a watch with technical high-complexity for the Only Watch charity auction.

To support Only Watch, Ulysse Nardin presented an exclusive Marine Tourbillon Only Watch timepiece designed especially for this year’s event. Yellow tints on the 7 hour indexes and the power reserve indicator pay homage to this 7th edition of Only Watch. The mechanical Marine model, with a delicate blue enamel dial, is emblematic of our historic marine timepieces, a heritage that stretches back to the mid 19th century and founder Ulysse Nardin himself.

The “Grand Feu” blue enamel dial is made in-house by Ulysse Nardin enamel specialists Donzé Cadrans, which are among the very few to have mastered this ancient technique. Its lovely blue color is a direct result of the process of this challenging art. Dating back to the 17th century, the Grand Feu enamel gets its name from the incredible heat required to fuse the enamel powder in a kiln at a very high temperature.

A flying tourbillon – one of the most impressively complex mechanisms in the world of Haute Horlogerie – takes pride of place at 6 o’clock, while a 60-hour power reserve, situated at 12 o’clock, ensures this timepiece is a reliable partner to all those who demand accuracy over time.

The UN-128 caliber is an in-house designed movement with silicium escapement and spring, with 28’800 v/h and 36 jewels. This self-winding chronometer has a power-reserve of approximately 60 hours.

The case material is in stainless steel with a fluted bezel, a screw down security crown covered with rubber, and with an open case back with sapphire crystal. Its dimension is 43 mm of diameter and its water-resistance is 100 meters. The timepiece is available with a leather strap with a folding clasp.
