Another major new launch from Christophe Claret, a closer look at the floral theme and a critical view on dials

Today is the perfect day to launch a watch which captures the essence of the summer. As Switzerland heads into a heat wave, Christophe Claret presents a new watch whose bright colours and butterflies perching on daisies capture the very essence of the season in a perfectly feminine form. Discover the new watch on our home page from 11am today (Swiss time).

“Jean-Claude Biver is a genius of the industry who rightly merits a biography”

Paul O'Neil

Marie de Pimodan-Bugnon continues the floral theme on the site tomorrow with a look at a selection of watches using this theme. David Chokron will then turn his attention to the thorny issue of dial legibility, taking a critical look at dials and drawing a fine line between those that are legible and those that are as complicated as the movements beneath them.

Our series of summer competitions has already proved popular after just one week. We have a huge variety of prizes up for grabs every day over the summer, including Swiss Kubik watch winders and Reuge music boxes. Each competition runs for only one day and closes at midnight, so you have to be quick!
