The Ladies Automatic Nautilus in rose gold was launched in 2015 as a version set with diamonds. Patek Philippe is enriching its choice of watches with a new version featuring a plain gold bezel.
The case, water-resistant to 60 m, takes up the Nautilus design introduced in 1976 by the first model for men, with its two long lateral lugs emulating the lock and hinges on portholes and its octagonal bezel with softened angles and beveled flanks. The originality of the construction is emphasized by the subtle play of contrasting finishes on the bezel and case – satin-finished on the top, mirror polish on the flanks. The dials offer a choice of two colors: silvery opaline and golden opaline. The embossed pattern of gentle waves – a signature feature of the Ladies Nautilus –gives these elegant watches a strong character. The applied numerals and hour markers and the hands, all in rose gold with a luminescent coating, ensure optimum legibility. An applied rose-gold frame enhances the date aperture at 6 o’clock.
These two new paragons of casual feminine from Patek Philippe house a technical finished caliber 324 S C self-winding movement (bridges with chamfered, polished edges and Geneva stripe decoration, rotor with circular Geneva stripes and engraved Calatrava Cross etc.) that may be admired through the sapphire-crystal case back. The rose gold bracelet, which combines polished and satin finishes, is fitted with a new fold-over clasp with an adjustment system enabling the wearer to gain 2 to 4 mm of extra bracelet length for greater comfort. One simply pulls on one or both halves of the bracelet when the clasp is closed, even while wearing the watch. The new Refs. 7118/1R-001 and 7118/1R-010 with plain gold bezels take their place alongside the Refs. 7118/1200R models with diamond-set bezels.
