This year again, Chaumet continues to explore the subtelties of the hydrangea flower, through the Hortensia creative complication watch, that we introduced this spring, and four precious watches.
The latters come in a 18K rhodium-plated white gold or 18K yellow gold case , measuring 41 mm. The bezel is set with 55 brilliant-cut diamonds.
A Swiss made quartz movement animates the hour and minute functions of these elegant watches offering four distrinct dials.
The dial of the first model is adorned with a marquetry of guilloché riverwater white mother-of-pearl and of seawater white and gold mother-of-pearl. After being cut and engraved, the mother-of-pearl has been hand-painted to create a geometric interpretation of the hydrangea flowers.
Two models, available in white or yellow gold, offer the same hydrangea pattern, but using differents kinds of mother-of-pearl inlaid at the heart of a 121-diamond corolla. White seawater mother-of-pearl is used for the yellow gold version, while a tender lavender blue color embellishes the white gold version.
Housed in a yellow gold case, the dial of the fourth model also features a radiant halo of diamonds and brings to life a convex bouquet in natural mother-of-pearl. Using inlay technique, a central hydrangea is surrounded by two floral corollas, highlighting the details of its petals.
The watches are elegantly completed with sand-colour, cream-beige, light blue or brown satin straps whose gold pin buckle is set with 19 brilliant-cut diamonds.
