Grace Open Art - Eterna
1 minute read
Its name alone suggests that this creation is a genuine work of art...

Eterna went its own way with the creation of fine ladies' watches from an early stage. From the early 20th century, the brand began producing jewellery watches for its demanding feminine clientele. These models included the slimmest, series-produced baguette watch and the Eterna Matic Golden Heart with the world's smallest automatic movement and a solid gold rotor. Film stars Brigitte Bardot and Gina Lollobrigida have relied on exquisite watches from Eterna for the perfect entrance.

With the new Grace Open Art, Eterna demonstrates once again the importance it attaches to this long tradition: the care and effort distilled into its design and production can be seen in every single detail.

The 34mm case, available in yellow or white gold, is adorned with a bezel set with 57 Top Wesselton diamonds. The white or black mother-of-pearl dial reveals a circular aperture providing a view of the regular oscillations of the balance, the mechanism that determines the accuracy of the automatic movement ETA calibre 2824-2 Open Art. A wave-like swathe of 71 diamonds emanates from the window and describes a gently contoured path across the dial. No indices nor numerals break the artistic interpretation of the dial. Only elegant Dauphine hour and minute hands complete their revolutions, as well as second hands.
The slender crosspieces that serve as lugs welcome a  fine white or black satin wristband.
