Fabergé On the wings of time
After an elegant white gold version unveiled a year ago, Fabergé once again tames a rare bird with this Lady Compliquée Peacock black in pink gold.
The winner of the 2015 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève in the Ladies’ High- Mech category appears in a variation without diamonds, simply attired in black lacquer for daily use. The resulting aura of understated refinement in no way detracts from the fascinating show staged by the retrograde movement developed by Agenhor and featuring feathers rather than hands. The winding crown serves to indicate the time on a circular disk rotating counter-clockwise, while the retrograde minutes are displayed by the peacock feathers. This splendid tableau is inspired by the “peacock egg” created by Peter Carl Fabergé in 1908. A royal sight indeed !
