Video. Petite Heure Minute Thousand Year Lights

A new version of the Petite Heure Minute showcases an ancestral Asian technique.

The craftsmen of Jaquet Droz inspired themselves from an ancestral Asian technique "Najeon Chilgi" for this new version of the Petite Heure Minute. This method involves mother-of-pearl encrusted lacquer, often used during th Goryeo dynasty (10th-14th centuries). The mother-of-pearl is first lacquered, then polished with great care. The craftsmen engravers then bring out the minute volumes through hand painting.

The Petite Heure Minute Thousand Year Lights is available in five versions, each limited to 28 pieces, in generous 30 or 39mm red or white gold cases, set with diamonds or without. Equipped with a 68-hour power reserve, this timepiece is presented on a black or deep blue alligator leather strap.
