The Longines Master Collection combines classical elegance and excellent quality to delight those who appreciate fine timepieces. The various models in this line - which was launched in 2005 and quickly established itself as Longines' flagship collection - offer many special features and sophistications. Thus, The Longines Master collection now offers chronographs, GMT models, watches with date and power reserve display, moon phases or retrograde functions to lovers of contemporary watches with a classic spirit.
All models in the Longines Master Collection are equipped with self-winding mechanical movements. They are available in several case sizes and materials - steel, two-tone steel and rose gold, or steel and yellow gold, and rose gold - appealing to both men and women.
In 2020, Longines is adding several new references to its Master collection.
The chronograph Ref. L2.629 features a small seconds at 3 o'clock, the date at 4.30, a central 60-second hand and a 30-minute counter at 9 o'clock. Powering the watch, Calibre L889 (ETA A31.L21) beats at 28,800 vph and has a 54-hour power reserve.
The chronographs Ref. L2.759 and L2.859 (large picture on top of the page) offer the same functions, but located differently on the dial, and feature an additional 12-hour chronograph counter at 6 o'clock. They are driven by Calibre L688 (ETA A08.L01), also with 54 hours of power reserve.
Depending on the models, the dials are sunray blue with applied indexes, gold-plated with 13 diamond hour-markers, or silvered with a "Grain d'orge" motif and 13 diamond hour-markers. The hands are silvered-polished or gold-plated. A choice of blue alligator, steel, or steel and 18-carat yellow gold cap bracelets and straps is available. They are equipped with a triple safety folding clasp and push-piece opening mechanism.
